![]() ![]() Chick Magnet: Richmond will lampshade this trope if you investigate Eilie. The Charmer: Unlike Tir before him, Riou has several dialogue choices that compliment many girl/women he came across, like saying that they're cute/pretty, but he didn't go as far as Sheena and generally keeps himself together. ![]() Blood Brothers: With childhood best friend, Jowy.Big Good: Riou is chosen by destiny to bear the Bright Shield Rune and to oppose Highland by becoming the leader of the Orange Army.Bash Brothers: His unite attack with Jowy - which comes in very handy in the early parts of the game as it targets all enemies.Badass Family: His adoptive father was a war hero, and his sister and he are very skilled at martial arts at a very young age. ![]() In the case of he and Hoi, this is amusingly subverted in their unite attack. Back-to-Back Badasses: Does this with Jowy, Nanami (unless she decides to have tea) and, later, with Tir in their Unite attacks.Due to its unique nature, the rune compels its owner to fight its other half, which translates to Riou having to fight Jowy on opposing sides during the war. Ultimately harmful to his team in the case of the first, but powerful. His applications are limited to 'yeah he fights well and sets stuff on fire and in a battle of attrition 1 Vs 1 there's no way in Hell he's losing unless you're a 6-pointer'. Ultimately human, with no real range to help him out other than flaming arrows. ![]() Though he doesn't have canon showings against guns, he's been beaten up enough to probably have fantastic showings against just about anything. The epitome of 'never gives up' in the most sadistic way possible. He has a 50% resistance to all magic right off the bat, and it took four separate parties of RPG protagonists, three volleys of arrows, two ambushes, and a one-on-one duel all in sequence to kill the guy.
